Such items may be canned goods, beans, rice, sugar, toiletries, corn flour, corn flakes, powdered milk, flip flops, vitamins, etc. In Honduras we also celebrate the Bible Day on September 29th. We seek people that are willing to donate Bibles and Bible tracks to the different communities where we have local partnerships for development. The CSP also celebrates the Childrens Day on September 10th. During this special date we request US VBS teachers to come and celebrate along with the children. The communities request vitamins, beany babies, toy cars, Frisbees, jacks, balls, dolls and any fast food toys that can be brought to Honduras, childrens clothes, toiletries, vitamins, etc. We need sponsorship to buy piñatas, cakes and also Bible coloring books and Crayons. CSP takes part of the Christmas Holidays in the communities where there is active participation. That is why we request people from the US to help us distribute gifts to the different families. Usually families need clothes, toys, food, vitamins, etc. Due to the difficulties that many mothers have to face when having children in the different hospitals and health clinics throughout Honduras, we have started a ministry called the First Breath Ministry. The purpose of this ministry is to provide diapers, diaper pins, clothes, toiletries, calcium, vitamins, and hygiene products for the mothers and plastic bathtubs. Scholarships are also another way to empower the communities. You can donate to sustain a child in the urban or rural communities. There is follow up and constant communications with the communities. *There are side costs when CSP staff has to travel to the different communities. Please contact the CSP in order to make sure what the costs are. If you or your institution is interested in supporting the CSP in with the yearly budget, feel free to contact us. We also have institutional projects that help us to provide a better service to the missionaries and some of them need funding, they are: - Acquisition of a small shuttle to transport the teams.
